My Story
Hello, I am Elizabeth and Risen Cakes is my bakery.
I have loved making delicious cakes for my friends and family for many years. In March of 2015 after much prayer, I decided to begin selling the beautiful treats that I make in my home. I needed a name to represent this small business and bring honor to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christ is risen and cakes rise. I loved the play on words:
Risen Cakes.
All of the cakes I sell comply with the cottage laws in Texas. This means that I have a food handlers license but that my home is not inspected by any agency. It also means that my finished product can not contain raw fruit, cream, or require refigeration. This is good for you because you can leave the cake out without worry of getting sick. Lastly, I cannot copy lisenced characters, but I can make a cake in the spirit of a character.
It is my goal to bring honor to God with all of the things I make.
